Hosting and server logs¶
This documentation is served as a static website hosted on Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps, a service provided by Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited (One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland) and Microsoft Corporation (USA).
When you access the site, the hosting infrastructure may process technical data required to deliver the pages (e.g. IP address, date and time of the request, browser type, referrer). This processing is based on our legitimate interest in operating the site securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Hosting takes place in a data center in the West Europe Azure region (Netherlands), i.e. within the EU. A data processing agreement (Microsoft Products and Services Data Protection Addendum, "DPA") is in place with Microsoft. Where data is transferred to Microsoft Corporation in the USA, Microsoft is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses apply.
Cookies and consent¶
We only set non-essential cookies and load analytics after you have given your consent via the cookie banner. Until you accept, no analytics or tracking is loaded.
You can change or withdraw your decision at any time using the Cookie settings link — available here and in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Web analytics — Microsoft Clarity¶
With your consent, this website uses Microsoft Clarity, a web-analytics service provided by Microsoft. Clarity helps us understand how the documentation is used so we can improve it.
What is processed: Clarity records anonymized usage data such as clicks, scrolling, mouse movement and interactions, and reconstructs aggregated session replays and heatmaps. It uses cookies and similar technologies to recognize returning visits.
Purpose: Understanding and improving the usability and content of the documentation.
Legal basis: Your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (and § 25(1) TDDDG for the storage of and access to information on your device). Consent is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time via Cookie settings.
Processor and international transfer: The service is operated by Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited and Microsoft Corporation (USA). Processing may therefore involve a transfer of data to the United States. Microsoft is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework; where required, transfers are additionally safeguarded by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Retention: Clarity data is retained for a limited period as defined by Microsoft and then deleted.
Processing is covered by the same data processing agreement with Microsoft referenced under Hosting and server logs above (Microsoft Products and Services DPA).
More information: Microsoft privacy statement and Clarity documentation on Microsoft's website.
